Good Morning! This is the first post from The Black Girls Dating Diary! This blog was started in an effort to share the stories the ups, downs, failures, and successes of Black women in the at times tumultuous and other times beautiful world of dating. I was initially inspired by two things: a friend who began her own blog, an experimental trial with Match.com, and another friend who is currently in an amazing relationship with a friend of mine. I think stories about dating are needed to change and influence the culture of dating. Women need to be able to have open and honest dialogue about their dating experiences and get feedback in a safe environment.
The way this blog will function:
- Submit anonymous dating story to BlackGirlsDatingDiary@gmail.com (No names can be used)
- Story will be edited and posted by me!
- Read, post, comment, laugh, cry, empathize, idea share, give advice.
- I will post random prompts about dating and articles to facilitate discussion, please also pass these on at the email address!
